William Cumby serves as youth pastor for The Fountain of Praise in Houston, TX. He is a graduate of the DEVOS urban leadership initiative and a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Oral Roberts University. William volunteers in multiple school districts, is a dad blogger, writing contributor for The Grow Curriculum and Youth Specialties, seminar teacher with UYWI, and a published author. During football season William serves as the varsity football chaplain for Thurgood Marshall High School as well as multiple other schools in FBISD. Because of his relentless taco addiction he is also a fitness fanatic and personal trainer.
February 20, 2018, William was awarded his own day in the city of Houston, Texas.
William and his wife Ebony have three children together.

Since 2017, William has led a community camp for inner-city boys with multiple ministries and mentor programs call Manhood Camp Houston. It is am extension of The Urban Youth Workers Institute's Manhood Camp that began in California. The goal of the camp is to help boys address their father wounds, teach them life skills, and share Godly wisdom.
Serving an urban church in the heart of Houston, Texas for over 13 years, William has experienced a lot of things. He has made helping educate and encourage other youth leaders one of his driving goals for ministry. He is often mentoring or sharing resources with ministries because he believes consistent leadership helps build faithful youth that maintain their belief in Christ.

God healed William's father and William began the journey to blend his love of Christ with his newfound joy of healthy living. As a motivational speaker and preacher, William teaches techniques for setting health goals, maintaining realistic fitness regimens, and how it relates to faith. He published a book called Head to Soul (A fitness Devotional) that is available on Amazon.
